A Christian boarding school, Oakdale offers students in grades 7-12 a rigorous academic environment, along with a chance to grow spiritually, and a rich extracurricular program. In our small classes, teachers challenge and encourage students to excel academically, and through the living and learning environment students are directed toward a Christ-centered life of service.

The Oakdale campus is nestled on 12 acres located near the town of Jackson in the Appalachian region of Eastern Kentucky.

The student body consists of approximately 60 students coming from numerous states and a few other countries representing a richness of diversity. The vast majority of Oakdale students participate in our boarding program. All faculty and staff live on campus, creating a nurturing, structured, and dynamic residential community.

The Honor Code is a pivotal part of the school community, with students increasingly providing a peer leadership structure that encourages positive behavior and community living.

Eighty percent of alumni enroll in college within two years of graduation. Recent graduates have attended Greenville College, Asbury College, Georgetown College, Central Christian College of KS, University of Kentucky, and University of Louisville Medical School.

Emily's Story: Oakdale Changed Me

They say Oakdale is harder than public school. Going from public school to a small Christian community like Oakdale is a big transition to make. But for me it is well worth it.

There Shouldn’t Even be an Oakdale!

A few years ago, Linda and I heard the usual "support Oakdale Christian Academy" pitch from a representative at our church. On the way home we agreed that high school students belong at home with their parents, not off in some school in Kentucky. We questioned the need for a boarding school.
