Principal
Oakdale Christian Academy of Jackson, Kentucky, is accepting applications for the position of principal.
The principal reports to the president of the school and is a member of the administrative committee, which also includes the dean of students, business manager, and assistant to the president/director of development.
The principal oversees the academic program of the school. In that role, the principal provides overall direction to the academic program and curriculum, supervises the teaching staff, gives academic guidance to students, and is the disciplinarian during the school day.
The position requires significant one-on-one interactions with students and parents. As such, fostering positive relationships with parents is essential.
Ideal candidates will hold a master's degree in education, relevant experience to serving at a boarding school, and prior experience as a principal of a secondary school with demonstrated ability to work with students grades 7-12 from churched and unchurched backgrounds. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to build trust and consensus and be skilled in promoting high academic standards. We seek someone with excellent people skills who will create a high performance culture for teachers and students.

Oakdale Christian Academy is a Free Methodist boarding school located near Jackson, Kentucky. Oakdale enrolls 40-50 students annually in grades 7-12 from a widely diverse population, including students from 15 states annually as well as international students. Student preparedness for a college-preparatory instructional program varies widely. Oakdale has a unique ministry that combines a quality education with a character-building residential program.
