Staff members Dan Fisher, Annie Zeller and Erin Newton and six Oakdale students traveled to Georgia and Florida during spring break (March 1-7) to represent Oakdale and soak up some sun! The group made stops at the Fayetteville, Georgia Free Methodist Church, Lakeland, Florida Free Methodist Church and in Brooksville, Florida sharing the way the Lord is moving and working at Oakdale and in the lives of the students. The crew is grateful for the support they received along the way and the incredible hospitality and encouragement shown by everyone at all three stops.

On Monday, March 10, senior Evan Schiro traveled to Spring Arbor, Michigan to accept a Presidential Scholarship from Spring Arbor University (SAU) in recognition of outstanding academic achievement. Evan has been accepted at SAU and plans to attend this fall along with two other Oakdale seniors, Robert Harrelson and Joseph Li.

Former Kentucky State Governor, Paul Patton came to the Oakdale campus on Tuesday, March 11 to address students, staff and community members during a special chapel presentation. Many community leaders and Oakdale staff members attended a reception for Former Governor Patton before he spoke. During his address, he challenged the students to be self disciplined, work hard and keep on the road to success. Students were engaged and interested in the Former Governor's stories about growing up in Eastern, Kentucky.

The Oakdale Public Relations crew was on the road again Sunday, March 30 visiting the Greenville Free Methodist Church (GFMC)! Students shared their stories of changed lives and new hope during a Sunday evening program and then enjoyed ice cream sundaes and fellowship with GFMC students. Many thanks to the Greenville community for their warm reception of our students and the way they pulled us all into the family!
