$2,279,000 raised over four year period

Oakdale Christian Academy had never attempted a capital campaign of this magnitude. The four-year goal of the
Advancing the Vision Capital Campaign was $2,135,000. Its primary objectives were to balance the annual operating budget for each year of the campaign, fund a classroom and gymnasium building, and pay for a campus sewage treatment plant.

Every goal was met! It was accomplished through the gifts and pledges of Oakdale supporters totaling $2,279,000, exceeding the goal by $144,000 – every penny of which was needed to meet the actual costs of the projects!

Balanced budgets mean that Oakdale has no operating debt, so every gift that is received can go into current needs like scholarships, staff salaries, and educational costs. A fully funded classroom and gymnasium building means that no long-term indebtedness will follow this project, so future expansion needs can be pursued unencumbered. A sewage treatment plant, fully funded, will be constructed in late 2005, completely settling a major longstanding campus infrastructure need.

There was no shortfall, and there was no surplus. Every person who supported Advancing the Vision had a part in the success of this important capital campaign.
