Oakleaf Oakdale receives donation of 23-passenger bus Recently, it has been found that 15-passenger vans can be unsafe when used at full capacity. Therefore, a requirement of most insurance companies is to remove the back seat, reducing a van’s capacity to only ten passengers. Oakdale, already struggling to meet transportation needs, determined last year that a small school bus was a must to meet the school’s needs. Trinity, Inc. of Detroit, Michigan again gave generously. Jerry Sheppard, president of Trinity, Inc. arranged for the donation of a 23-passenger bus to Oakdale Christian Academy. That gift was a great blessing and helps meet the various transportation needs of the Oakdale ministry. This is the second gift by Trinity, Inc. In 2003, Trinity, Inc. donated a 72-passenger bus in response to the great need at that time for a school bus. That bus, a late model in excellent condition, has been well-used. The staff and students remain grateful for both of these gifts. |
