Young botanists have advantage of new greenhouse

A new greenhouse on the Oakdale Christian Academy campus provides excellent learning opportunities for Oakdale students in botany class. It also allows Oakdale to grow its own plants for campus landscaping. This 16 x 20 foot greenhouse was built in part with funds from a PRIDE (Personal Responsibility In a Desirable Environment) grant.

The greenhouse was built with the help of Joe Armstrong, Richard Evans, and Roger Pratt on the foundation, David Elkow and Jeff Campbell of Corbin, Kentucky on the framing and panel installation, and Sam and Pat Gilmore of Wilmore, Kentucky in the construction of planting shelves. Through the help of these individuals, Oakdale now has a very nice, well-built greenhouse at a bargain price. Many thanks to all!
